Description

Overview This Giotto is a single-lane wrap-around case packer for end-of-line carton packaging of PET bottles, rated at more than 20 cartons per minute. It erects the wrap-around case around the bottle group from a flat blank held in an inclined magazine, and closes it with a hot-melt glue unit. Neutral and printed carton both run on the machine. The machine was built in 2015 and ran on a mineral water bottling line until early 2025, packing 1.5 l PET bottles in 4 x 3 cartons and 1.0 l PET bottles in 5 x 3 cartons. It was operated alternately with a shrink-film bundling process, so its operating hours are low. Control is a Siemens S7 PLC with a touchscreen HMI panel. Infeed and outfeed conveyors, motorisation and the CE control panel are part of the machine.
